Actual Field Results
of Improved Production

Higher conductivity fractures have been found to be beneficial in oil, gas and condensate reservoirs. These benefits were shown in carbonates, sandstones and coals, with well depths ranging from 100 to 20,000 feet. Higher conductivity fractures were beneficial in oil wells producing as little as 1 bopd and in natural gas wells producing less than 250,000 scf/d.

It is clear that well productivity and profitability can be frequently improved with increased fracture conductivity.

CARBO Ceramics Presented Technical Papers at Conference

CARBO Ceramics has documented a number of field trials and field studies demonstrating the benefits of tightly sieved ceramic proppants improving the performance of hydraulically fractured wells. Two cases were presented at the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition on October 10, 2005 in Dallas, Texas.
