NANOMITE S sand microproppant

Ensure your microfractures contribute to production

NANOMITE S sand microproppant is a fraction of the size of the smallest sand proppant commonly deployed. Production can be improved if secondary and microfractures are propped open. NANOMITE S microproppant has excellent transport characteristics and is typically employed in lower closure stress conditions.

Wide range of particle sizes to prop the smallest microfractures

NANOMITE S microproppant has a broad range of particle sizes with a mean diameter of 300 mesh (50 μm). As a result, it provides the benefits of 100 mesh proppant, while propping open even the narrowest secondary fractures and microfractures.

Excellent proppant transport characteristics due to wide range of settling velocities

The broad range of particle sizes results in varied settling velocities, ensuring NANOMITE S particles provide benefit in the primary fractures as well as in the furthest tips of the micro fractures.
The average settling rate of 100 mesh sand is over 10 times faster than NANOMITE S particles. The small size and enhanced transport characteristics enable the microproppant to navigate tight angles experienced in complex fracture networks, reaching otherwise untapped microfractures and contributing to increased production.
NANOMITE S particles transport well in slickwater fluids to improve reservoir contact and fracture conductivity. This can be further enhanced by utilizing special fluids which support further penetration.
