CARBO’s ceramic media products improve quality and lower costs.CARBOACCUCAST® has been engineered to provide superior performance along with versatility for casting in aluminum, gray and ductile iron, steel, copper, magnesium and other metals in a variety of processes such as lost foam, shell, no-bake and investment. CARBOACCUCAST outperforms specialty sands and at the same time offers distinct economic advantages. CARBOACCUCAST has a lower thermal expansion, resulting in higher precision and accuracy of castings while also leading to lower scrap cost and lower cost to correct inaccuracies. Its greater flowability increases the ability to produce thin wall castings and minimizes casting mass. With lower density than other specialty media, CARBOACCUCAST requires less product (by weight) to produce an equal volume of cores or molds. It also provides lower cost per cubic foot of product used. Also, the strength and durability of CARBOACCUCAST enhances reclamation and reduces media consumption. CARBO's ceramic media products are inert and contain no quartz silica. CARBOACCUCAST is available in low density (LD) and intermediate density (ID). |
