StrataGen Engineering offers stimulation supervision services – specializing in implementing advanced StrataStimSM and StrataShaleSM stimulation designs. In many cases, however, we represent clients in the field to assure their interests come first to the service company.
Our services cover four key areas:

Pre-Stimulation Evaluation and Service Company Audit. After creating the advanced StrataStim or StrataShale stimulation designs, StrataGen engineers perform a detailed audit of the service company equipment and chemicals as well the pre-job testing of materials. In many cases, we substitute cost-effective materials in place of service company “hot” items. We also utilize the latest technology in fluid and proppant selection. This assures that clients receive the best-available fluid, additives and proppant for their applications.

Pre-Job Diagnostics. After the treatment design, we supervise and analyze pre-treatment injection testing. Our ability to analyze diagnostic fracture injection tests (DFIT) is widely acclaimed and respected by our clients. By performing these tests, we bring the actual wellbore permeability and stress values into focus and make any last-minute changes to the optimized design.

Stimulation Supervision and Quality Control. StrataGen field employees have many years of combined experience in field supervision and quality control of stimulation treatments. Detailed supervision, which includes quality control of fracturing fluids and additives, is essential for the success of all hydraulic-fracture treatments. Basic quality control procedures, such as monitoring fluid viscosity and conducting pre- and post-treatment inventories, are performed on every treatment StrataGen supervises.

Post-Stimulation Evaluation – Closing the Loop. StrataGen knows that the real value in performing post-job analysis means working frac geometries into well performance. StrataGen excels in this area, utilizing a portfolio of reservoir-engineering tools that are best suited to match reservoir environment.
